The famous shampoo bar

Le fameux shampoing en barre

The famous shampoo bar (or solid shampoo), the mysterious block of soap that you received in a gift exchange and which has been hanging around in your shower for two years already... You look at it every day, but you still hesitate to try it.

Of course, this isn't the case for everyone (if you're looking for our bars, click here 👈), but even after using it for 4 years, I can still understand the hesitation. But come on, it’s time to make a change!

So, let’s demystify it together!

The shampoo bar has simple and healthy ingredients, it takes up much less space, no plastic and biodegradable packaging, no more waste

His advantages

Solid shampoo is better than liquid shampoo 😱

Eh yes! I said it. After making the switch for so long, I finally allow myself to proclaim it loud and clear. It's a superior shampoo and here's why:

  1. Simple and natural ingredients
It is made from simple and often natural ingredients: healthy for the scalp and hair.
  2. Plastic free
Thanks to its solid form, the shampoo bar can be packaged in biodegradable cardboard packaging instead of bulky plastic bottles.
  3. It takes up less space
The shampoo bar is ultra concentrated, so it takes up less space on our shower shelves!
  4. No more waste
The number of splashes of liquid shampoo that went down the drain 🙄. By rubbing the bar directly on your hair, you avoid most of the waste often associated with liquid shampoo.

How do you make shampoo bars?

Making shampoo bars involves combining gentle cleansing agents (often saponified fats) with natural oils and plant extracts.

Key ingredients and their benefits

Some of the most popular ingredients include shea butter for hydration, coconut oil for nutrition, and clay for cleansing the scalp. These components promote the health and vitality of hair while respecting the environment.

📝 How to use shampoo bar: Practical guide

To maximize the benefits of your solid shampoo:

  1. Start by wetting your hair and the shampoo bar.
  2. Rub it directly onto your scalp or between your hands to create a lather, then massage gently.
  3. Rinse well after use.

Caution: Solid soaps melt very quickly when immersed in water. It is therefore important to store your soap on a shelf in the shower or a soap dish that lets the water drip! The important thing is to let it dry between uses.
